Collectorate, Nabarangpur has released notification for the recruitment of 115 Sikshya Sahayak vacancies on contract basis in the schools functioning under ST & SC Development Department of Nabarangpur District. About Nabarangpur:

Nabarangpur also known as Nabarangapur or Nowrangpur, is a city and a municipality in Nabarangapur district in the Indian state of Odisha. It is the headquarters of Nabarangpur district. Nabarangpur district is situated at 19.14’ latitude and 82.32’ longitude at an average. There 3 Post offices in this town. One MDG near bustand with facilities for IMTs, E-Payment Speed post, etc. Totally computrised one. elevation of 1,876 feet above sea level. The old girder bridge over the Indravati River was recently replaced with a new one.

Raja Chaitanya Dev high school is the oldest school in Nabarangpur for boys. It is near Nabarangpur Mosque in Pathan street. It was established in 1934. The School operates under Board of Secondary Education-Orissa.

As per the Administrative set up is concerned there are 169 Gram Panchayats, 1 NAC (Umerkote) and 10 Police Stations in the District. The religion of the District is composite. There are Hindus, Christians and Muslims in good numbers with the tribal worshipping the Hindu gods. Like Mirganis, Snkharis, Malis and Sundhi, some other tribes such as Bhumias and Dombs are also residing here. Of these, the Mirganis appear to be a subcaste of the Dombs.

Jabahar Navadaya Vidyalaya, Khatiguda is the Central Government run special School also serving the Educational requirement of the District.

Mondei is the widely celebrated festival of Nabarangpur District. This festival is usually celebrated after the harvesting of crops.Most areas of Nabarangpur District experience the first arrival of monsoon much before the rest of the state. While the rest of Orissa gets rain due to monsoon from the Bay of Bengal, the whole of Nabarangpur gets it straight from the Arabian Sea, through the Southwest direction. The whole of this District enjoys 16912.57 mm total rainfall and 1631.40 mm normal rainfall annually. Notably the Plateaus which are located in between 2,000 and 3,000 feet remains cool round the year.

Age Limit:

Candidates age between 18 to 35 years as on 1-1-2015. The upper age limit is relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ ST/ Women/ Ex-Servicemen/ SEBC and 10 years for PH Candidates.

Pay Scale:

Rs.5,200/- per month.

Educational Qualification:

Post No.1, 2: Higher Secondary (+2 Science/ Arts/ Commerce or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and Diploma in Elementary Education (CT)/ Special Education.
Post No.3, 4: Graduation with 50% marks and BEd or Higher Secondary (+2 or its equivalent) and BA BEd/ BSc BEd and passed in Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected based on  merit (percentage of marks).
