About Karnataka Examinations Authority:

The Government of Karnataka established Common Entrance Test Cell in the year 1994 for conducting of Entrance Test and determining the eligibility / merit, for admission of Karnataka candidates and the ward/s of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants to the First year or First semester of full time professional courses for Government share of seats in Medical, Dental, Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy, Engineering / Architecture courses, Farm science i.e, B.Sc. (Agriculture), B.Sc. (Sericulture), B.Sc (Horticulture), B.Sc(Forestry), B.Sc. Agri Bio Tech, BHSc.(Home Science), B.Tech (Agri.Engg), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tech (Dairy Tech), B.FSc (Fisheries), B.Tech (Food Science &Tech)., B.Sc. (Agri. Marketing & Co-Op), B-Pharma, Pharma-D courses. KCET Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria for KCET Exam 2017 is mentioned Below:


  • Candidates must have to clear their Class 12 examination or an equivalent exam with Mathematics and Physics as subjects.
  • Candidates must have studied English as one of the languages.
  • The candidates need to score at least 45 percent marks in the qualifying examination.
  • If a candidate scores fewer marks in Chemistry, in that case, marks scored by the candidate in biology, biotechnology, computer science, will be taken into account.
  • Those candidates who belong to either S/C, S/T have to secure at least 40% percent marks to be eligible for KCET 2017.
  • Those candidates who are seeking for the results of the qualifying examinations are also eligible to take up KCET 2017.

Age Limit:

  • The candidates who are interested in this position, they are must have completed minimum age of 17 for the academic year.

KCET Application Fee:

  • For General/OBC category candidates: Rs.650/-
  • For SC/ST/Category 1 candidates: Rs.500/-
  • Candidates qualifying Pre-University and 12th standard from state other than Karnataka: Rs.750/-
