About  Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board:

Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), popularly known as Vyapam is a professional examination board of Madhya Pradesh, India. It conducts various tests for admission to professional courses and streams. It is the largest examination conducting a body of Madhya Pradesh and comes directly under the Directorate of Technical Education. The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board is a self-financed, autonomous incorporated body of State Govt. The Government has reconstituted the Board of Directors for taking decisions on policy and organizational matters through Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board Act. 2007. It was in the national news for the Vyapam scam, which was a massive admission and recruitment scam involving politicians, senior officials, and businessmen. After the scam was unearthed, 2000 people were arrested, including the state’s former education minister Laxmikant Sharma and MPPEB’s exam controller Pankaj Trivedi.

 

Vyapam scam was a massive admission and recruitment scam involving politicians, senior officials, and businessmen. Indore Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court served notices to Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) and Medical Council of India (MCI) following a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by parents of some students after reports that more than 300 ineligible candidates managed to get into the merit list. Complaints of irregularities and crooked deals in pre-medical test (PMT) were surfacing since 2009 but in the year 2013, a major scam was unearthed involving several officials and politicians from the state ruling party. The kingpin of the impersonation racket Dr. Jagdish Sagar was arrested and subsequently, several other influential people were arrested including ex-Education Minister Laxmikant Sharma, MPPEB’s exam controller Pankaj Trivedi, MPPEB’s system analysts Nitin Mahendra and Ajay Sen and state PMT’s examination in-charge C. K. Mishra. The credit to expose the scam goes to Indore-based medical practitioner Dr. Anand Rai.

Physics:-

  • Unit and dimensions, dimensional analysis, S.I. Units, Motion in two dimensions Cases of uniform velocity and uniform acceleration, General relation between position and velocity, Uniform circular motion, Force, and inertia. Newton’s Laws of motion. Conservation of momentum and energy. Static and kinetic friction.
  • Work energy and power collisions, potential energy, gravitational potential energy and its angular conversion to kinetic energy. The potential energy of a spring, Rigid body rotation and conservation of its momentum. Acceleration due to gravity and its variation, Universal law of gravitation, geostationary satellites, escape velocity.
  • Hooke’s law, Young’s modulus, shear and bulk modulus, surface energy and surface tension, kinetic theory of gasses, gas laws, kinetic energy and temperature. Specific heats at constant volume and constant pressure. mechanical equivalent of heat, isothermal and adiabatic processes.
  • Wave nature of light, Interference, Young’s double slit experiment, Velocity of light and Doppler’s effect in light. Reflection, refraction, total internal reflection, curved mirrors, Lenses, mirror and lens formulae.
  • Dispersion in prism, absorption and emission spectra.
  • Coulomb’s law of electrostatic, dielectric constant, electric field and potential due to a point charge, dipole, dipole field, Gauss’s law in a simple geometrics. Electrostatic potential, capacitance, parallel plate and spherical capacitors in series and parallel, the energy of a capacitor.
  • Electromagnetic induction induced emf, Faraday’s law, Lenz’s law, self and mutual inductance alternating currents, impedance and reactance growth and decay of current in L-R circuit, elementary idea of dynamo and transformer.

Chemistry:-

  • General and Physical Chemistry: – Structure of Atom: Constitution of the nucleus: Bohr’s atom model: quantum numbers Aufbau principle, electronic configuration of elements (up to-Kr): de-Broglie relation, shapes of orbitals. Chemical Bond: Electrovalent, covalent and coordinate bonds, hybridization (sp): hydrogen bond: shapes of molecules (VSERR theory): bond polarity, resonance, Elements of VBT MOT.
  • Inorganic Chemistry: Principles of metallurgical operations: Furnaces, or concentration, extraction, purification metallurgies of Na, Al, Fe, Cu, Ag, Zn and Pb and their properties. Chemical periodicity: s, p, d and f-block elements, periodic Table: periodicity: atomic and ionic radii valency, ionization energy, electron affinity electronegativity, metallic character. Comparative study of elements: Comparative study of the following families of elements: (i) alkali metals (ii) Alkaline earth metals (iii) Nitrogen family (iv) Oxygen family (v) Halogens (vi)Noble gasses.
  • Organic Chemistry: Calculation of empirical and molecular formula of organic compounds, Nomenclature of organic compounds, common functional groups isomerism structure and shapes of alkanes, alkanes, and benzene. Preparation properties and uses of alkynes, alkyl, benzene, petroleum, cracking octane number, gasoline additives. Nomenclature, Physical-chemical properties, correlation of physical properties with structure properties and uses of haloalkanes, halobenzenes, alcohols and phenols.
  • Botany: – Structural organization of the cell, cell theory. Light and Electron Microscopic view of the cell. MP PAHUNT Eligibility Criteria:

  • Criteria A: Candidates who are bonafide residents of Madhya Pradesh can only apply for admission to Government College; however it is not essential for admission into private colleges.
  • Criteria B: For admission to Government colleges, candidates will be required to fulfill one of the following criteria:
  • Candidate should have born at any place located across Madhya Pradesh state and completed three years of study from any educational institution.
  • His/her father has been living over here for at least fifteen years.
  • His/her father has been living over here for at least ten years and holds immovable business/property/Industry.
  • His/her father is a serving or retired employee of Madhya Pradesh Government.
  • His/her father is a serving or retired employee of any corporation/institution/Commission/Board under Government of Madhya Pradesh.
  • His/her father is a Government employee and posted in Madhya Pradesh from previous ten years.
  • Candidate’s father is an All India Service officer and belonging from Madhya Pradesh Cadre.
  • His/her father has given appointment on a legal/constitutional post by Governor of Madhya Pradesh/President of India.
