The objective of PNB KAUSHAL scheme is to provide education loan to the students who got admission in respective universities (which has no minimum course duration) for doing vocational courses and training/skill development courses. The quantum of the loan will be minimum of 5000/- and maximum of 1.5 lakh rupees based on need and expenses to meet the completion of course.

CONCESSIONAL EDUCATION LOAN
This is the scheme which is applicable to the students/person with disabilities (PWDs) with 40% or more on the basis of disability certificate issued officially by the corresponding state/central govt authority. The scheme provides a maximum of 10 lakhs for studies in India and 20 lakhs for studies in Abroad respectively.

- The student should be an Indian National
Courses Eligibility for PNB UDAAN Scheme
- Graduation courses like job oriented professional/technical courses offered by renewed universities.
- Post graduation courses namely MBA, MCA, MS etc

Expenses considered on Punjab National Bank (PNB) Education Loan

Punjab National Bank Education Loan Security
- PNB Saraswati: For the loans up to 7.5 lacs and above 7.5 lacs parent/guardian would become co-borrower and 3rd party guarantee is required for below 7.5 lacs loans where there is no tangible security. Also for above 7.5 lacs loans, tangible collateral security of suitable value accepted to the bank.
- PNB Pratibha: No security, co-obligation of parents/guardian as co-borrowers
- PNB Udaan: Similar to that of PNB Saraswati scheme security rules.
- PNB Kaushal: Parents/guardian would become co-borrower and there is no need of 3rd party guarantor/collateral security.
- PNB Honhaar: Same as that of PNB Kaushal education loan scheme security terms.
- PNB Bihar: Parents/guardians to be joint borrowers and there would be no collateral security and 3rd party guarantor. All the loans will be covered under the financial assistance scheme of Bihar Government.
Punjab National Bank Education Loan Margin
There will be NIL margin for the schemes namely PNB BIHAR, PNB HANHAAR, PNB KAUSHAL. Also for the loans up to 4 lacs, there will be no margin. For the loans above 4 lacs 5 % margin for studies in India and 15% margin for studies in Abroad. Scholarship/assistantship would be included in the margin and it may be brought on a yearly basis as and when disbursements are made.

During moratorium period only simple interest charged on loan amount. Also, there will be 1% concession on repayment before the due date.
Punjab National Bank Education Loan Repayment
Repayment of the loan equated monthly installments for a period of maximum 15 years. The repayment will start after the one year of student employment.
PNB Kaushal: The repayment period will be varied based on the quantum of loan Also the moratorium period will be 6 months for less than 1-year course and 12 months for courses of duration above 1 year.
- Loans up to 50,000: up to 3 years
- Loans between 50,000 to 1 lakh: up to 5 years
- Loans above 1 lakh: up to 7 years
Concessional education loan: The repayment period of the loan will be 7 years after the commencement of repayment period. Loans with repayment period beyond the ceiling as mentioned above are not eligible for subsidy scheme.
Punjab National Bank Education Loan Subsidy Scheme
The subsidy scheme will be applicable to the low-income family background students and it will not be valid if any of discontinuation of course. The eligible candidates should provide income proof in order to avail the subsidy scheme. The subsidy scheme will be applicable only for the period of moratorium.
