The Indian Railways changed category from ‘viklang’ to ‘divyang’

The Indian Railways in its concession forms changed the category name from ‘viklang’ to ‘divyang’. ‘viklang’ means handicapped people and ‘divyang’ means divine bodies.

From February 1,  new forms will arrive. Railways also changed the word ‘blind’ to ‘persons with visual impairment with a total absence of sight’, and ‘deaf and dumb’ word replaced with ‘persons with hearing and speech impairment’.
