About Mangalore University:

Mangalore University (MU) is a public university in Konaje, Mangalore, Karnataka, India. MU has jurisdiction over the districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kodagu. The university imparts higher education in field of arts, commerce, science, law and management. The previous undivided Dakshina Kannada (South canara) district was under jurisdiction of University of Mysore. In the early 1970s there was a growing demand for a local university. A post graduation centre of Mysore university was set up in the late 1970s at Mangaluru. To satisfy the demand for separate university Mangalore University was set up on September 10, 1980. The engineering and medicine disciplines were later transferred to Visvesvaraya Technological University and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences of Karnataka respectively. In 1993, the Manipal associated colleges were transferred to Manipal University.

Educational Qualification For Mangalore University Recruitment 2016:

Candidates should possess Ph.D Degree in the concerned/ allied/ relevant disciplines with 55% of the marks for for post 1, 2 , 3, 4, Ph.D in Physical Education for post 5. For more details refer notification.

Application Fee:

Candidates should pay Rs. 1000/- for General, Rs. 500/- for SC/ ST through Challan/ Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Finance Officer, Mangalore University payable at Mangalagangothri/ Mangalore.
