Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched first ‘Khelo India’ school games at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. Talented players will get an annual assistance of ₹5 lakh for eight years. At the week-long games 199 gold, 199 silver, and 275 bronze medals will be awarded.
Rwanda become first low-income country to offer universal eye care
Rwanda is the first low-income country to provide free eye care services to the entire country. This nation has 1.2 crore population. Rwanda partnered with international non-governmental organization Vision for a Nation to train more than 3,000 eye care nurses.
