India got 66 medals including 26 golds at the Commonwealth Games 2018. The Indian contingent has surpassed the medal totally from the last edition of the Games in Glasgow in 2014. the Commonwealth Games 2018 also became India’s 3rd best outing in the history. Overall the 11-day games, Indian athletes set 11 CWG records.

The Indian economy has recovered from the demonetization and Goods and Services Tax, according to a World Bank report. It predicts that the Indian economy’s growth will accelerate from 6.7% in 2017 to 7.3% in 2018 and 7.5% in 2019. India must create 8.1 million jobs a year to maintain its employment rate.
